Ingredients
Sandwich~
2 tbsp. soft butter
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
3 Slices Country Style Bread*
3 Slices Turkey--cut thin
3 Slices Ham--cut thin
Batter~
1 cup half-and-half
3 eggs lightly beaten
Dash Salt and Pepper to taste
Tart Currant Jelly or Raspberry Preserves
*To reduce carbs and calories, omit the 3rd piece of bread and have a 2-slice Monte Cristo instead
Directions
Place flat plates on a griddle or panini maker; preheat according to manufacturer's directions
Make sandwich: in small bowl, blend butter with mustard Spread on bread, buttering one slice on both sides. Arrange turkey on one slice of bread; top with slice buttered on both sides; then
with ham and third slice, buttered side down May secure with toothpicks for batter dipping.
Meanwhile, in a bowl whisk together eggs and half-and-half, Dip sandwiches in egg mixture and soak 30 seconds per side.
If desired, coat griddle with butter or nonstick cooking spray. Place sandwiches on griddle and cook according to manufacturer's directions until crisp and golden, 2-3 minutes. Serve directly with a side of Tart Currant Jelly or Raspberry Preserves
