Ingredients
20 slices thin white bread
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
3-4 ounces Bleu Cheese; crumbled or whole wedge
1 egg
1 12 oz--jar Shea Gourmet Classic or Spicy Pickled Asparagus
2 sticks butter, melted
Directions
Trim crusts from bread and use a rolling pin to flatten each slice. Have both cheeses at room temperature and blend with the egg to a spreadable consistency. Spread evenly on each flattened bread slice. Roll 1 Asparagus spear in each slice; fastening with a toothpick.
Brush with melted butter and place on a baking sheet. To make ahead: freeze firm, uncovered. Tumble into freezer bags and store frozen until ready to use, or use gradually as needed.
Slice cross-wise when ready to serve, using a serrated knife, 4 pieces per roll. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet. Space pieces apart so browning occurs on all sides. Serve hot.
